How does Parcl work?

The Parcl Price Feed tracks the price per square foot of neighborhoods across the U.S. This data feeds into a smart contract, allowing users to invest in the underlying price movement of each real estate market. This lets investors gain exposure to the most sought-after neighborhoods with no minimum investment, immediate liquidity, and low transaction fees. 

With Parcl you can build your dream real estate portfolio and trade your favorite neighborhoods just like you would crypto, ETF's, or any other highly liquid, marketplace-listed asset. 

What You’ll Do:

You  will work with our ever growing data warehouse to analyze and uncover  trends that impact real estate markets, and their implications across society and business. This role is critical to bridging across our marketing and data team in achieving our mission: democratizing access to real estate investments. We would love a new teammate that is energized by diving into data, conducting research with little guidance and being able to tell compelling stories. We want this role to enjoy constantly asking and answering questions through data analysis.

• Develop and deliver thought leadership blog posts, white-papers, presentations, news articles etc. using our existing data capabilities as well as additional data sources that may be relevant.
• Work with the Data Scientist and Data Engineers to identify and ingest new data sources into the Parcl data warehouse. 
• Work alongside the Data Science and the other members of the executive team in ideating new research avenues relevant to the mission of the company.
• Work with the data science and graphics team to explore and prepare data for maps, charts and other data visualization projects/

Skills & Attributes You’ll Need:

• A data-driven degree and/or demonstrated ability in data science, social science, economics, or other applied research.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL, experience with Snowflake is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Python or R
• A demonstrated ability to create reproducible work– ability to  to develop a system/process around generating this work for audit, and templating
• Interest or  knowledge of the data science space and techniques
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills on technical topics. (Portfolio of past activities will be requested).
• Strong ability to work autonomously, manage time and get things done..
• Experience with Tableau or data visualization tools.
• Ability to question and discuss methodology on the data team’s work.

Skills & Attributes We’d Love you to Bring:

• Experience with Geographic Information Systems (ArcGis, QGIS, etc.)
• Experience with non traditional data sources and with international data feeds
• Familiarity with GitHub for software development
• An interest in developing data visualizations and analyzing large volumes of data
• An interest and curiosity in crypto, DeFi, synthetic real estate, and Web3
